A story the Beck brothers never told anybody. Several years ago all four of us unified ourselves and decided we were not going to work in the garden anymore. We voted for Roger to be the one to tell Dad and then we waited for him to come home from work. Finally at five o'clock Dad pulled in and before he could get in the house all of us went out the back door out on the steps. When Dad came in through the garage door, Roger yelled our feelings into the house, "We ain't workin in the garden anymore, so there." We all peeked in to see what Dad would do. His eyes lit up in anger and he flew over to the door, Roger shoved it closed and we all ran like the dickens, but he was out in the yard in less than ten seconds. We outran him and escaped and the four of us had another meeting where we came to an agreement with Dad. We would continue to work and he wouldn't whup us. All things considered I think we made a pretty good deal. Scroll down for a photo of our coming to terms and peace meeting with Dad.
